The Sportful Corto

In 2009 the famous Granfondo Campagnolo became the Granfondo Sportful. Starting from the town of Feltre (the home of Sportful and Castelli), the route quickly climbs into the Dolomites tackling legendary climbs of the Croce D’Aune and Passo di Rolle. The highest point of the route comes after 136km with the Passo di Valles at 2032m. After 215km you return to Feltre with over 5000m of climbing in the legs!

In contrast to the rugged scenery, our hotel for the weekend is the perfect place to relax before and after the event. Located in the historic village of Asolo, you'll enjoy stunning views over the vineyards of the Veneto. It's a perfect place to enjoy an evening stroll through the winding streets that have been home to poets and actors over the years.

Our three day itinerary will allow you time to experience some of the other riding options available in the area before some recuperation ahead of the main event. Spending Sunday night in Asolo will allow you to unwind and savour your achievement with the rest of the group before catching a leisurely flight back on Monday.

The Sportful Corto

Friday 18 June

Arrival at Treviso or Venice Airport. Transfer by minibus to our base in Asolo.

Saturday 19 June

Your bike will be unpacked and ready to go. We will enjoy a gentle ride along the back roads around Asolo. The aim is to spin the legs and loosen things up for the challenge tomorrow. Lunch will be had at a café en route. The rest of the afternoon will be free to relax, enjoy the hotel, and make final preparations for tomorrow. Your bike will receive a final check over from our mechanic and your race number fitted.

Sunday 20 June

The Big Day! The hotel will serve a breakfast suitable for the day’s activities with generous helpings of pasta. We will then take the short coach ride to the race start and arrive with enough time to grab a pre-race espresso or two. Your guide will be on hand to pass on some last minute tactics and escort you to the starting pen. After a tough (and hopefully enjoyable) race, we’ll meet you at the finish with some cold drinks and congratulations. Then we’ll hit the pasta party for some serious refuelling and a chance to check the results board. A refreshing shower and perhaps a power nap await you back at the hotel. We will enjoy some fine food and drink as reward for the achievements of the day.

Monday 21 June

A day to relax and enjoy your last few hours in Italy. Your bike will be packed up ready for your flight home. A minibus will take the short distance back to the airport.
